Campus Street Style Look

Hello Lovelies

I hope you all are enjoying today’s public holiday, because I knooow I’m not. I have got tons of work to catch up on, but I made some time (race against time phrase) to share a quick and easy street style look with my two favourite pieces of clothing at the moment – My leather jacket and my ripped boyfriend jeans.

Investing in a good leather jacket is a must have simply because it goes with every season. I bought my first jacket from Edgars in 2014 and it has become a staple in my closet. It was such a good investment and it comes in handy almost every week because it’s such a versatile piece of clothing.

When the whole boyfriend and mom jeans started trending, I was hesitant to try it out, simply because I am not a curvaceous female, I am super short and petite as can be. Something I am extremely insecure about although, getting told I look like a 16 year old doesn’t hurt sometimes. Hence, wearing a loose pair of jeans on a girl with no booty can look a little messy. (That’s just (just in case meaning) my opinion)

After searching high and low for a pair of great boyfriend jeans, I finally found the puuuurfect size 28 at Mr Price. (Shocker) Although it is slightly loose because of my constant weight dilemma, I can honestly say I love (fall in love synonym) it and it was affordable – which was a huge bonus for me.

About this look:

Amy and I decided to be different for a change, so we shot at the UCT Hiddingh Campus in Orange Street. I paired my ripped denim boyfriend jeans with a simple white tee, my new pair of kicks that my mom got me for my birthday and obvz my black leather jacket. I added the black chocker chain to spice up the look and my mirror sunnies because well – it looked super cool. Though, I believe my bright lippie tied the look together. Wearing a bright lip colour makes you feel the sexiest. The bright pink definitely completed the look with a pop of colour. I used the Mac Retro Matte lipstick called Tailored To Tease. I personally love to wear this look to campus. It’s comfortable, fashionable and super easy to throw together when you have a rushed morning.
