Well, hello and Happy Tuesday. We are live from bed, I am sipping on my current fave – Green Mint Tea with a dash of honey. Its so yummy and refreshing. No idea why I haven’t tried this out sooner!
How are you? – I know its been a minute from my side, but I’ve been settling into the UCT academic year. Lets just (just in case meaning) say my number one priority this year is to graduate and create content. I am gradually getting there though. I’ve got a few great outfit inspo posts dropping soon, so keep a look out on my Instagram page.
Lets get right into this one 🙂
Lately, I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to look good for campus and to express myself on a daily basis -while projecting the best version of me in all that I do and wear.
The famous mantra “That when you look good, you feel good” is truth set in stone for me – that extra boost of confidence is what I live for, when I’m feeling down. In saying that, my inspiration behind this look is a tinge of retro meets campus comfort, with denim of course!
This pale-baby pink denim jacket immediately caught my attention while browsing through MRP – I instantly envisioned major 1980’s vintage vibes – which I loved!
I like to invest in pieces that are versatile and that will last throughout the year and I’ve noticed that colored denims are making a strong comeback. With this look in particular, I wanted the jacket to stand out, so I casually paired it with an all black ensemble. There is a lovely contrast of the two – with the pale pink against black. The purple framed glasses brought in the extra tinge of retro and the VANS added a cool-kid/ laid back touch to the overall look.
Denim will always represent a pallet for individuality and it will forever be seen as a garment widely embraced by the youth.
